Its not a new scheme. I despatched an IL62M of theirs from STN in the mid 90s wearing the same livery and Uzbeks first A310 was delivered not long after in the same colours. Airliners.net is wrong on this one

I think it’s just as fine in the IL-86. 😉 Especially the light blue on the 4 cowlings as opossed to 2.

I’ve always liked the Uzbekistan Airways colour scheme, but it just doesn’t look good on this aircraft. Put it on the 767-300 and it looks a million times better!
