Dear All,
I’ve been asked to research other examples of some of our large non-vehicle non-aircraft exhibits, and think its time for my forum knowledge-pool experiment.
We have that complete ramp outside, plus another section in H4. Does anyone know of any sections of V-1 launch ramp held anywhere else in the world?
Leads much appreciated.

On the subject of the V-1, does anyone have any photos of the V-1s wingspars and their dimentions (length & diameter)?
BTW Jonathan, if you ever put the ramp back into operational condition we do have a willing (???) test pilot on the forum.
Geoff.

There is an almost complete (original) one in storage in Holland. Unfortunatly, it is in open storage, which don’t makes me very happy. BW Roger
Thanks for the info. Do you have any details on who owns this ramp and where it is held? Photos would be great.

Just in case you’re interested, here in New Zealand there is a V-1 Doodlebug in the Auckland War Memorial Museum, and also at MoTaT there is a replica V-1 that was built during the war by the US military based on captured plans or something. I don’t know if they have any genuine ramp sections but it might be worth an ask.

Blimey, that was quick! Many thanks for those. I’ve found a piece located at (ex) RAF Hawkinge… still looking.

I am pretty sure there are a few bits and pieces at one or two of the launch sites in Northern Franc still.
