Thanks for that ‘PDK but the invite to get the Airtourers to North Weald came about when I met Bernard Martin of Air Britain at Aero Expo last year and he very kindly persued the idea. Incidentally the Australian branch held their “50th” at Wangaratta last weekend and had about 35 aircraft there. We won’t manage that but 6 out of the 12 airworthy UK aircraft won’t be bad.

If you want to see Airtourers, the Air-Britain Classic Fly-In at North Weald 20-21 June is gathering them together to mark their 50th birthday. All UK aircraft invited and 5 already indicated their plans to attend.

It certainly was an excellent day out and for the icing on the cake you took a picture of my Airtourer G-AWVG. I just hope all the movements didn’t annoy the neighbours as Turweston have struggled in the past with noise complaints.
