I have just got back from Florida where I managed to visit the Valiant Air Command museum at Titusville. The collection inside is well kept and you can get up close and personal with the none-flyers. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the F-14’s main u/c retraction sequence! (I think it rotates and it doesn’t have a side stay)

The collection is a little crowded but as I said this enables you to get real close

The F-8 was sitting right along side an A-6 that would allow for a good comparison to be made between the two related types. I got caught up with the collection of jet engines behind the two aircraft and forgot to take a picture of the A-6!!

The F-14’s nose oleo had collapsed so it looked a little “wrong”

There was one of Dale Snoddgrass’s F-86’s and one of the Starfighters, Starfighters there this week.
