Vampire T11 help required

A friend of mine in France looks after an airworthy Vampire T11.

He has contacted me as he needs a serviceable mainwheel inner tube.
The part number he has given me is 26-7.75/13.
If anybody has one which they are willing to sell or knows of anybody that might have one I would be very interested to hear from them.

Thanks a lot.

Joe 🙂

XE921

Well, after someone posted a shot of her in this months Flypast, a gentleman who flew her whilst she was on CFS duties contacted me with a photo:)
He was on the CFS when at Little Rissington and tells me XE921 served there 3.9.56 to 27.9.63. He took this photo as she returned to the line.

Excellent news Baz, a new project for the fold, you will have to purchase some land and obtain some whole aircraft, a Hunter maybe!

Got a photo of it just entering service with Baz’s private airforce

& then, as if by magic, I find myself recalled from leave & conscripted onto the ground handling flight, within that very same organisation.

I was paid most handsomely though, receiving a magnificent 1:100 Stuka in a presentation box, for my efforts. 😀

How about Alan Allen? He’s a bit of a Vampire expert. That’s certainly a tyre size rather than a part number, you could try Watts Aviation in the UK as they do most of our rubber at Duxford. We just give them a size and that’s all they need.

Contact Desser Tyres in the USA: www.desser.com/

They’ll probably be able to suggest a solution or source if unable to supply an aviation part.

G’day 😉

That looks more like a tyre size than a part number. Bournemouth may be able to help…
