Carport cover for aircraft

I used a company called three counties buildings when I purchased a carport to house my Scout helicopter front section. The standard carport they do is availiable in whatever size you require with either a flat or pitched roof and can be easily modified to your requirements. Mine measures about 6 x 5 meters and sure beats messing about with covers which tend to take off in the middle of the night!:eek: The web address is http://www.3cb.co.uk/

I was thinking about an agircultural polytunnel though the ‘car port’ probably won’t blow away!

p.s. just saw your excellent site – nice to see one of the Sandtoft machines preserved (saw it a few years back when we were inspecting the B-25)

Hi – have you thought about doing what Wellesbourne Mountford do with theirs – IMO a superb concept – its essentially a ‘car port’ but keeps the worst of the weather off the delicate wooden ‘pod’ – genius!

It’s not airworthy so does’nt have to be at an airfield. I was hoping a museum might have room or a farmer might have an empty barn.
