as the final curtain is slowly but surely coming down on these fantastic aircrafts RAF careers. i thought it would be nice to start a dicussion about them… i cant help feeling a bit sad though the Tristar was ok but i loved the VIKITEN. in my opinion one of the best looking airliners ever made, most airliners to me look some what out of place in military colours, but the VC-10 looked amazing. i have a fond memory of a Tristar.. about 10 years ago one decided to circle around the village i lived at really low level. i can remember well this huge aircraft emerging from the clouds and circling around for about 10 mins, then she vanished into the clouds again. to this day i wonder why the pilot decided to do this.
as for the Jaguar… cant the RAF keep some for another few years….
so enyone with pictures or storys to tell “or opinions” on these old girls. lets see and hear them please… 🙂
