VC10

Just gone to my daughters RDA riding group and a RAF VC10 (if im correct about it being a VC10) left LBA at 13:10. Why would it have been at a commercial airport?
High rear tail, twin engines on back of fuselage and giving it quite a bit if pasty from LBA. Certainly not the usual easy jet stuff.
