I am delighted to say I have a VC10 yoke now, need a badge though!!.
Anyone want a Vanguard yoke?! Which is identical except for the check card holder mount!!

Valiant?
Looks a bit low-tech to me for Valiant.

Jon what’s the column to the right of the picture outof interest?

I bought what I think is a Vanguard yoke – it is identical to FLYBUYs, except there is the ‘ledge’ to hang the checklist off. As far as I can see, the ‘ledge’ is the only difference. I cannot find any pix of a VC10 yoke with the ledge….unless you know diff!!!
PS….I still want a VC10 yoke Anon/Jon!!!
Funny you should mention that wedge plate Tony as that was why I was asking what (if known) the differences were between VC10 and Vanguard columns. Guess what is fitted to the two Mike and myself were on about…….
They belong to The Aeroplane Collection (TAC) and as luck would have it we have had both types on our books down the years!

wonder of mine is VC10 then?
It doesn’t match the pics of the VC-10 yokes above, I would think it’s Vanguard.

As an ex VC 10 eng, I should be first 😉

Does yours have the holes for the bracket on the top of the middle part ? (to take the check list)? If not, probably VC10. Mine has the bracket and it is marked BEA so likely Vanguard!!
I am still looking for a VC10 yoke!!!!??? Please anyone??!!
Flip yours around by 180deg – it is co pilot side

Always wondered when these yokes from the scrapped aircraft would come on the market, no doubt will end up on eBay, the Nimrod yokes did well in the past and fetched a decent price. The VC10 has a strong following, a true pedigree of an aircraft, pity it’s future is sealed.

VC-10 control yokes
I know where there are a couple and at least one of them may be available for sale/trade;) They include the columns as well.
Jon H does too – but he’s keeping mum!
No doubt all will be revealed soon.

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but was anyone ever able to confirm if the VC-10 control yoke/column was the same as the ones found in the Vanguard?
Or put another way how can you tell them apart?

You’ll have to get past me first!:D I work around them and I can’t get anything like, tried Brunty aswel but all the useful stuff is going back into the spares chain.
There’s two VC-10 items I really want, the yoke and the unique flying control surface position indicator mounted in the middle of the overhead panel.
