Nice to see they are keeping ZD241 as a runner at Bruntingthorpe!

C1k with the Royal fit in would have been cool. Not that it was anything special. Plus with a freight door so you could show the cabin in many roles… VIP, SLF, freight, medivac

Cool ohh its arrived, might volunteer to help if they would have me, did the courses many moons ago.
Would have preferred to see a C1 remain as a runner though.
I was under the impression it was going to be ‘108 kept as a runner.
K4 probably makes the most sense, C1K could have been more interesting to let people in to. K3 – too much of a smelly faff!

Hahaha, never looked, i missed it was a K4 i just noticed it was a tanker. Lol….
Btw remember the farce when they nailed the tanks in the first one, seem to remember they cut the roof out to get them in, they hadn’t stressed jacked it properly so it bowed and the hole ended up bigger than the removed bit, they then had to stress jack it to bend it back so they could nail it back together

Cool, I used to run them for about 6 or so years 🙂 though that going back a few years now.. being a tanker it’s only got a few rows of seats in the fwd cabin, the rest is full of tanks behind the environmental bulkhead.
I thought as a K.4 it didn’t have the extra tanks in the fuselage.

Great news! My No 1 Favourite commercial Aeroplane. All it needs now, put all the seats back in returning it to a passenger aircraft in BOAC Livery. WOW! :eagerness:

I wonder if they will be able to carry a few lucky folks on the runs?
