Hey i’m back with a tan after a great holiday, got just a few of the numerous photos i took here on this thread for you, these pics are of CO Flight 27, B752 (BHX-EWR) and CO Flight 569, B738 (EWR-LAS)…..enjoy 😀
1. Foreward Fusalge of the CO 752 we were taking to Newark.
2. A pic of one of the RR Engines.
3. A shot pointing down the fuselage and you can see a BA ERJ in the background, i was glad we got to walk up the outside the a/c instead of along the airbridge.
4. A view of the wing somewhere over the atlantic.
5. A engine view while landing in Newark on a dull day.
6. Taxying out on the CO 738 to the runway, a view of some of the international carriers, this pic shows a full Airbus apron, just A330s and A340s.
7. Landing in Vegas on runway 7R, pilot need a last minute turn for the approach.
8. Showing the spoilers and showing the reverse thrust of the engines, the windows on the 738 were very dirty making some pics dirty.
9. This pic was VERY dissapointing, this is the flightdeck inside the 738 but it came out blurred but i got a pic on the way back where we had a 752 and the pilot even took a pic of me in the Captins seat and those pics are much MUCH better.
So there you go, hope you enjoy and theres more too come of planes on the ground at McCarren, where there was a viewing area on the airport perimeter.

I hadn’t seen any TAP A340s until June; then went to Lisbon and saw all 4 together on the ramp there..

I don’t understand why some airlines choose such a cluttered flight deck layout on the EFIS screens – like CO has with their 738. It makes the main displays much less clearer. And if something goes wrong and needs attention, surely the related instrument/dial will be shown on screen automatically anyway??
Eg. The HLX 737 EFIS screens are less cluttered.

The pic has been added now and yes there is a airbridge at nearly every gate attched to the terminal, they just didnt use it for some reason
