FB4 and 54 were produced in England; as John says, it is a definition for the export version. In some cases, FB4 aircraft were redesignated FB54 when sold on to foreign air arms.

In the case of the Swiss aircraft, they were built in Switzerland. The nose looks fine as long as it is on an aircraft finished in Swiss markings – otherwise it looks distinctly odd!

FB.54 is just the export number for the FB.4 and no doubt there were differences to the avionics etc. The odd nose which housed an IFR and bombing computer, is a peculiarity of the Swiss ones which were modded late in service.

Whats the difference between a Mk.4 and the FB.54? Only caa/ginfo says it is a FB.54.
