I am looking to get our Venom J-1790 back into the state it was in when in service with the Swiss Air Force. To date, I have found a good number of the missing parts, which were removed when it was civilianised in the eighties. However, I am still missing the gunsight, the IFF controllers, and the radios that fit inside the Pinocchio nose.
Pic of the type of gunsight fitted is attached below – it is basically a standard Mk 4 sight, with a LAR sight attached at the side. Ideally, I am looking for 2 complete units, but I can also use just the LAR on its own, as I have a Mk 4 without it mounted. There were some for sale in Germany at the end of last year, but I couldnt work out how to buy them before they disappeared again!
I will pay Cash for a good example, or can swap for a Swiss Mk 4 for the Vampire.
The IFF radios that mounted under the nose were all removed from the Venoms, but appear to have been fitted to the Vampires when they left Swiss service. I have found one of these, but would love to find a full set, including the controllers.

You might want to try Source jets….I do believe they have afew venoms they’d love to get rid of;)
