6A/5475 is a Vertical Gyro Type B manufactured by Ferranti for the Smiths Military Flight System fitted to the Argosy, Victor B2 and Vulcan B2. They were later re-referenced as 6TB/4545302. Port and Starboard Vertical Gyros were fitted in a mounting which also contained a Comparator Unit.
Aircraft requiring faster gyro erection were later fitted with similar appearance Vertical gyros Type C 6TB/4545349 which had a larger connector GV1 repositioned above connectors GV2 and GV3. These were controlled by an Erection Switching Unit.
