Very old aviation mags!

I’ve taken posession of a couple of hundred aviation mags from the 30s (and a few from the 50s). Many are in absolute mint condition, it’s like a time capsule!

The circumstances that put them my way are very sad, but I’m glad they’ve dodged the skip, they are absolute gems. Even the ads are fascinating, so many cigarette brands to choose from! The 1939 American Aero Digest (35 cents!) even contains an advert for the Arado96. Also talk of a new bomber called the B17…

Well done in saving them! They look superb and clearly were cherished by the previous owner.

A valuable historical asset too. Other than “Flight”, whose archives can be accessed online, these magazines are the only way to get a real contemporary ‘feel’ for inter-war aviation.
