Veterans and Combat Flight Simulation.

Never really got past the basic Microsoft CFS, and as I happily shoot down B-17s, B-24s etc, I occasionally wonder what real life veterans of those types might think of it. If you’d fought for your country in those things, perhaps been injured, lost good friends and seen unspeakable horror, would you be offended to see another generation turn it all into a game? Or if you’d come through all that and lived to a ripe old age, would you be too old and phiosophical to worry about anything as trivial as a video game?

Probably the latter. At Sim Outhouse, there are a couple of grizzled old veterans who play CFS2 – they are a font of little known information on tips to help improve the game…..
