VF-32 Tomcats – Up Close and Operational – NAS Oceana

The F-14B Tomcats of Fighter Squadron 32 “Swordsmen” (VF-32) are in their last days of operational service at Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia, USA, before transistion to the Super Hornet. Some pilots had their final flights last week on the mighty cats and the squadrons special retro schemed aircraft was flown to AMARC, on Tuesday September 20 for retirement.

Myself and a couple of other photographers went up close and operational with the Tomcats of VF-32 on the Monday after the Oceana 2005 airshow. Heres a few pictures from our experience.
