Vickers Venom

An enquiry from one of our chaps.

He made the comment that Vickers designed a radial-engined fighter around 1936 which lost out to the Sprifire in the production stakes. He felt it would have been a real winner if it had been produced.

Never heard of it, but if someone can shed a ray of light, he’d be obliged??

G’day 😉

Gee Coop,

Why didn’t I think of that [Googling]?? Ta!

This may have been where he got the info, but has anybody got any idea if it’s more than a paper exercise?
