Hi All,
Many of you will know me for setting up and leading the restoration of the last surviving full size Trident 1c up at Sunderland.
I wanted to test the water with a further project which is also at the same museum in Sunderland and that is the restoration and painting into British Midland livery of the outside only of the Viscount fuselage that they have there ,
I am looking to see if people would be interested in forming a team who would regulary go to the museum and work on the outside of this aircraft, to set up a website, and to raise the necessary funds through donations. I think 3k could move it within the museum and paint it .
Also would like to ask people if they would donate or pledge towards this project.

Wish they would do the same with the fuselage at East Fortune – if nothing else, it will let people see what an airliner was like with proper windows, that you could see out of ! Good luck…..

It’s a shame that you can’t repatriate G-AZNA from Belgium. It’s complete and in good condition.

I have offered to lead a group to restore this back to one of its former livery,s BMA. I have also been given the chance by the museum if I can get a team together and if we can raise 3-4k to do it …… outside only…. I have Matt Falcus with me who runs our Trident website who will run the viscount website.
