Vickers Wellington MkII query…

This is my first post on The Aviation Forum, so as a short introduction, let me tell you I am a french modeler and I have been fond of every flying thingy sice I was 6… now I am 34. My father who now is retired, used to work for a french company manufacturing civil and military jet engines.

I am currently looking for information upon the Wellington MkII (merlin engined) that I’d like to build a kit of. I plan the 1/48 Trumpeter kit with a resin conversion kit for the Merlins.

I am looking for pictures or any information related to the desert camos of the Wimpy.

I know some MkIIs were used in the Mediterranean Theater of operation. Do you know whether some of them MkIIs were coloured sand/dark earth/black ?

What about camouflages of the Fleet Air Arm MkIIs used by 783 Sq from february to september of 1944 ?
