For a painting project I was going to paint a Victor (camouflaged) refuelling two Phantoms (camouflaged) so I guess 70’s/early 80’s.
I am sure this must have been a common occurance but despite an extensive search through the web and books I have not been able to find one photo.
Can anyone confirm that I am not going mad and this did happen. A photo would be even better.

Thanks for your help guys, I’m happy to crack on now in the knowledge that I wasn’t going mad. As for prints, I’ve never got any made up of my paintings before, but I’ll certainly post a photo in the Virtual Aviation Art Gallery thread when it’s done.

F-4 for fuel
Hi there,
The RAF Phantom force used air-air refuelling throughout their 23years service although it was the air defence units practiced this the most. See below:
