What a neat video, thanks or sharing! I have never seen an Argosy run never mind fly! It was sad at the end as at first I thought the one pictured had been scrapped! Good to see it was preserved albeit non running!
Yes you can’t mistake the whine of a dart engine! We stil have some Dart equipped aircraft flying over here and you cannot mistake the sound!

Excellent stuff and thanks for posting.
Put up with the first couple of minutes which are a bit weird, and the Rod Stewart sound track, and there is excellent footage of the Argosy. That Dart whine is so familier when you hear it again! Interesting info on the preserved example aswel.

Is it just me or is that first cockpit shot [45sec] a still shot against a moving background , or some such visual trickery ?
And if so why ?
