I have uploaded a video to YouTube taken at the Vans fly-in at Popham on Sunday 13th June last. It was intended to be the first of three but my ISP keeps on dropping the connection, so it might be the only one! You can see it at the link below and I hope everyone enjoys it.

Nice video, lots of the usual suspects! Looks a bumpy strip there.
It isn’t usually bumpy, certainly not as bumpy as it was on Sunday. Must be the effects of the weather. Thanks for the compliment.

I chose to interpret ‘airshows’ as including ‘fly-ins’. This ‘Historic Aviation’ topic seems to have less of a speciallist aura about it too! The Popham fly-ins are just a very pleasant way of spending a Sunday afternoon.
All a bit ambiguous …

I believe his (and my) point is that Vans are not historic.
If it’s a GA fly-in (as opposed to airshow which usually has aerial demonstrations, aerobatics, warbirds and historic civil types) for Vans aircraft, it really should be in the GA forum.
Same as it would be for a Cessna or Piper fly-in.
But most of those are more historic (older, and some have military backgrounds or use) than Vans types. 😀

Very pleasant videos ….but would they get a wider audience perhaps if posted instead on the GA section of the forum, there are a couple of “historics” (Auster and Chippie) but most of the videos coverage depicts “modern” homebuild or flex-wing types?
The description of this topic ‘Historic Aviation’ is ‘Discuss all aspects of our aviation heritage and preservation scene, including airshows, museums and restorations.’ I chose to interpret ‘airshows’ as including ‘fly-ins’. This ‘Historic Aviation’ topic seems to have less of a speciallist aura about it too! The Popham fly-ins are just a very pleasant way of spending a Sunday afternoon.
All a bit ambiguous …
Glad you enjoyed the videos
