I have been given permission by the Officer Commanding BBMF to post a couple of pictures taken by me during the flypast over the Mall and Buckingham Palace. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend, but to cap the weekend off with that flight was unbelievable. Having read through most of the threads about this weekend I have to say it is very pleasing to hear the appreciation of BBMF and the other participants of the flypast and the airshow!!.

Watched the event unfold on my local news.

Nobody can ever call into question the BBMF’s existence.

They did the whole nation, nay the whole Allied effort proud and many a proud heart beat fast.

A salute, Gentlemen, to the BBMF, the Government and Air Staff that recognise the importance of their contribution in the Nation;s Heritage.

Anyway thanks for that so here are 2 pictures that hopefully people can enjoy but I have to point out that they are crown copyright.
I know I am a lucky B*****d but taking these pictures was the highlight of my RAF career and having met quite a few genuine WW2 veterans in the past few weeks has really brought home to me why we keep these aircraft flying.

Enjoy Stormin’

Looked great from the 27th Floor of our hotel!! The poppy drop was a very fitting finale to a formation series which might be hard to repeat!! 😀 😀

Mind you, a fellow observer stating to his kids that the DH-89’s were WWI was a bit much!

Viva BBMF 🙂

G’day 😉

Thanks guys, as ever, you’ve made me very humble, and very proud to be British.

Oh, and many thanks to the BBMF lads and lasses on the stall on Saturday who handed Haydn a couple of posters. He loves you lot even more now. 😀

Do I spy the cover of next years BBMF book thingy?

Maybe, but the poppy drop one would make a great front cover photo on the next British Legion magezine. 🙂 😉

Big thanks to the ‘Boss’ for allowing us to see them…..

I agree with the other “Wow”s above.
Many thanks for letting us see these pics and excellent flypast/displays over the weekend, especially after having to swap Hurricanes for the Sunday.
