Yeah its a good spot for take offs especially. Im off to there open day this Saturday.

Up until May of this year you had to make arrangement with Peter Vallance, the guy who owns it, but now its open all year round but at a charge of £3.50.

LGWmuseum is deffinately worth a look! 🙂

Also try the Gatwick Aviation Museum. www.gatwick-aviation-museum.co.uk/ (located just north of the 08 threshold)

Up on the roof isn’t bad… £1.50 entry fee for the whold day, but hurry I would go up there some time in the next few months as building work is continuing, its starting to block views from the roof.

The only other good spot that I know of is at the far end of the runway (opposite end to the south terminal) But this spot is only worth while when the aircraft take off towards the terminal building, other wise its a crappy spot.

Other tahn that I dont know of any decent spots. Its not like LHR where there umptine different places that have good viewing areas.

Sorry I cant be of more help mate. 🙂
