I’ve just been given these old airshow passes and was curious as to what and where the show was, who would be given them and what was on display. Has anyone seen these before and can anyone supply any info or photographs of the show?
Thanks.

Thanks for the info so far. Was anyone there and has anyone got any photos? I’ve found a few online, but would be nice to have a first hand account of the event.
Is this the same show?

The sad thing is that, reading through the list of aircraft present, I can visualise all but one or two. I bet I couldn’t do the same for the list of aircraft present at the last couple of Farnboroughs. And no, I was’t born until a decade after this took place (Dammit!).
And yes, I do know what a Boulton Paul Overstrand is and proud of it. (Wrong thread).;)

That’s because we were one of the leading aerospace industries in the world at that time, Keefy041.
I’m wondering, would the “Anson” in line one be G-AGPG, by any chance?
Interesting to see the Marathon 1 had a serial only three letters earlier than AGPG. The Brabazon (not in the Radlett static) was AGPW. All very close together though what this may signify I’m not sure. Was a batch of serials kept by for first/flying prototypes perhaps – or is it just a coincidence.
Fantastic line-up though. What a great experience for the aviation buff these shows must have been in those austere post-war years.
Aaah, nostalgia (and, No, I’m not that old!).
Anon.

Wow, that’s quite a line up.
