I found a past post on this subject but as its 5 years old thought I would ask for any updates?.
My father has astonished me by asking if I was interested in his collection. I had a look and he has the (almost bar 15 copies) complete weekly issues from 1909 issue number 1 to end 1912 issue 195!. They are all in Mint condition (apart from a couple). Unbeleivable they have been stored in a cupboard in boxes for over 60 years.
I am at a loss what to do with them. I have put 1909 year on ebay mainly to attract interest from collectors and put a very high reserve as I dont want them to go to anyone.
Any thoughts or advice please

I don’t think Flight would be too interested (I’m ex-Flight myself)

Quite – which is why I didn’t bid.
I did buy a number of bound copies of Aeroplane from WWII though to fill some gaps. There were some duplicates and a box full of other books but that’s what eBay’s for.;)

A bundle of bound volumes of Flight magazines sold today at an auction. Vols 1-7 1909 to 1915. Hammer price £760. Lot 96: http://www.dominicwinter.co.uk/catcal/S287/P5.html
That gives an idea of their real value at the moment.

Flight might be interested in them. I think they have bound volumes, but not sure whether they have individual copies of their earliest editions.
