Vintage Plane Images & Bumper Stickers

I wonder if someone can help me.

I will soon have two vehicles. A Nissan Note & a mobility scooter. I’ll be carrying the scooter in the Note, usually.

So, I want to give them both complimentary names.

I’m considering Spitfire & Hurricane, but maybe you have more interesting ideas?

I will want to have vinyl stickers made up, so they can be placed over the rear quarter of each vehicle.

I was thinking of maybe:

Spitfire
My other vehicle is Hurricane
with an image of a Spitfire on this sticker

and

Hurricane
My other vehicle is Spitfire
with an image of a Hurricane on this sticker

I can get bumper stickers made up like this, but I can’t find a MATCHING pair of images. It’s proving particularly difficult to find top down views of the Spitfire, for instance. Which I find a bit odd, given it’s unusual wing.

Can anyone help with this, or other classic pairs – I’d love to see any suggestions?

Thanks.

Not unless he’s going to deliberately ram cars, surely?

Apollo and Eagle?

Or Apollo & Starbuck (Lee & Kara)

Ohka & Betty starting to look much better, now you’ve pointed that out.

Never actually hit another car myself, but plenty have hit me, and stacks in the mirror.

As you’ve got a Japanese car, how about Ohka and Betty

Unless it’s got wings, it isn’t going to get airborne either!:D (Even if it was made by Piaggio).

Maybe I should name them – Red & Bull

Because we all know what gives you wings!

But looking at fictitious aviation pairs, we could go for “Angel” and “Cloudbase”.

But I am also considering “Stan” & “Ollie” or “Reggie” & “Bertie” (for non-Wodehouse readers that’s Jeeves & Wooster).

Already considered, but the scooter isn’t submersible. I also considered “The Mole”, but it isn’t subterranean either. 😀

Not 100% aviation… but Thunderbirds 2 and 4!

Interesting. 😀

I wonder if I should go the “naval” route, given that I live in Plymouth.

Naaa.

Invincible and Harrier, sounds good to me.

Steering away from the parasite types (but there was the Peacemaker (B-36) and Pongo (small fighters) you could call your loadhauler Nissan “York” and your scooter “Lancaster”

Roger Smith.

Easy one…
Since the Nissan is carrying the scooter, I’d suggest:

Maia for the Nissan
and
Mercury for the scooter

Named after the Shorts Mayo parasite/composite flying boats of the 30s.
Not many will get it, but your aviation friends will. 😉

If you want to go light, you can go with R33 and Hummingbird
or Akron and Sparrowhawk

or if you’re feeling fast..
Stratofortress and X-15.
or Blackbird and D-21…

Maia & Mercury – very clever, I had given some thought to this kind of combo., but couldn’t place any.
