This a query on a subject outside my comfort zone.
Notwithstanding the current UK problems with privately owned/operated military jets, is there still a flying Canberra in the UK? Similarly Meteor(s) and also Vampire/Venoms? (I’m aware of the status regarding Hunters, of course.)
Information required for a film company, and this area isn’t ‘my thing’ and I’m out of touch with what is operating (if anything), with whom, and where.

Don’t forget the Navy Sea Vixen at Yeovilton.
Again, already mentioned in earlier post

I’m out of my comfort zone here too, what is this status (presumably linked to the Shoreham accident)?
Isn’t the J29 Tunnan in Sweden still airworthy?
Yes, all civvie Hunters on Permit To Fly in UK have been grounded since Shoreham incident (the Hunters operated by HHA under military contract are naturally excluded from this)
I have a suspicion that we’ll not ever see a non-mil flown Hunter in the UK again….sadly.

Aren’t there any Gnats airworthy?
Yes, 2 at North Weald, as I mentioned in an earlier post.

Europe, there’s some Vamps/Venoms in Scandanavia and Switzerland, a couple of Hunters in Scandanavia and Switzerland, the Lansen, Draken and Viggen in Sweden with the SAFHF, a Starfighter now airworthy in Norway and at least one Mig 15 in Scandanavia as well.
Isn’t the J29 Tunnan in Sweden still airworthy? Flying Bulls in Salzburg/Austria also has a couple of airworthy Alpha Jets. Isn’t a Mirage still airworthy in Switzerland? There’s also a couple of Aero L-39 flying in (continental…) Europe, an L-29 in Denmark and there must be some Magisters in France.

The two Meteors, WA591 and WM167 are airworthy though offered for sale
See. http://www.platinumclassicaircraft.co.uk
Enthusiasts on this forum should be made aware (if they don’t already know) that WA591 is one of this country’s most significant airframes.
WA591, powered by two Rolls Royce Derwents, our first operational gas turbine engine, has been restored to the standard at which it was used to train RAF pilots in the 1950s.
From 2011 through 2015 the T7 has been joy to watch perform at airshows in the UK and abroad.
Surely a way can be found to keep this machine flying at the few airshows that are left in this country.
I fear we are rapidly approaching the point where our jet heritage will be relegated to dead machines behind white ropes
…and also, now that F-86A 48-178 has gone back ‘home’, WA591 is the UK’s oldest flying jet.

Temora Aviation Museum in Australia has airworthy Canberra, Meteor, and Vampire.

Strikemasters (and JPs?) in the US as training contractors, with two ex-RNZAF ones en-route from the NZ circuit (the US operation purchased most of the worldwide spares supply for them…)
Also A-4s with Draken.
Not sure if all adversary types are available for film work – there might be conditions of transfer preventing.
Several in Australia/NZ, which is presumably too far for these purposes.

Also in the U.S.: T-2C, Harrier, Alpha Jets, various MiGs, L-39s, T-11s, MBs, T-Birds, Vampires.
There are several civil registered Canberras…I saw two at Falcon Field in Phoenix last week and two are register to a local mapping firm but I don’t think any are currently flying.

Well, MidAir did have the Canberra PR.9 airworthy back in 2013/4, but their fleet was up for sale in 2015, so whether the PR.9 can now still be considered airworthy or not is another matter……..assuming it wasn’t sold?
Other than the 2 x MB Meatboxes, there was the NF.11 and recently restored T.7, again both were up for sale, and I’ve no idea if either have been sold, or are still considered airworthy??
So, UK wise, I guess that leaves the Sea Vixen at Yeovilton, and a couple of JP’s and a couple of Gnats based at North Weald.

As for the USA, a big list comprising, F-4 Phantom, F-100, A-4, multiple F-86 and at least 3 x Starfighters.
