Virgin Atlantic orders 15 New Boeing 787 Dreamliners

I was looking for some flights this morning, and came across this – if it’s old news, i’m sorry!

‘Speaking from Chicago this morning, following the successful inaugural flight of Virgin Atlantic’s latest daily service between London and Chicago, Sir Richard Branson announced a large order of new aircraft.

In an order worth up to US$8 billion Virgin Atlantic have ordered 15 new
Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners with an option on a further 8 aircraft, delivery is scheduled between 2011 and 2014.’

Cheers,
Sam

It is not that old news only announced in the August 2007 Edition of Airliner World so really not that old. In there it said that they will use the 787’S on routes to America Hawaii and Hong Kong and Middle East.

I’d thought it a certainty he’d have ordered the A350
