Virgin Australia launches wed 4th May – new livery launched

Are all the aircraft now considered Virgin Australia as opposed to Virgin Blue, and V Australia? I realise the brand was launched but even Sydney Airport’s website still shows the seperate airlines rather than Virgin Australia. You wouldn’t think it would take long to change a couple of images and names :confused:

What i’m getting at is, even though the liveries will be changed over time, if you were to book a flight right now, are you booking it under Virgin Blue, or Virgin Australia?

I need to adjust my flight tracker site’s database but i’m tempted to just wait until Sydney airport make changes to their site first. Any suggestions?

Agree not that spectacular, but in the finical state we are all in I guess keeping cost down will be the main factor behind this. Also 95% of the travelling public really don’t give a hoot on paint schemes, it’s just the like of us lot who complain.:)

Hmm i’m not much of a fan of that.

They changed the livery as to combine Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue And V Australia under one recognisable livery instead of having two ancillaries..also new cabin and cockpit uniforms almost identifiable with the Virgin Brand around the Globe

The reason behind Virgin Australia change of livery was to make it different from Qantas, basically getting rid of the red tail.

But they had a white tail with a bit of red writing, and now they have a white tail with much bigger red writing.

lol bit of a fail there, Could have chosen a different colour eh?

I actually like the tail but think the rest of the plane is a bland mess. Another all white dull fuselage and then silver thats hardly visible, The woman at the front looks like a blury smudge rather then a symbol. Big let down for me unfortunately since they were hyping it up.

Now you see I really like that new livery for Virgin Australia…why can’t they have the same on all their aircraft, including the Atlantic product.
