Virgin Blue acheived a major milestone on april 30 when it carried its 10 millionth passenger, just two and half years after launching Australin Domestic operations.
It took VB nearly two years to carry five million passengers, and only ten months to carry the second five million
Lucky passenger number ten million recieved a series of gifts to celebrate the occasion including flight vouchers,a 12 month blue lounge membership, champagne and assorted VB merchandise.

There isn’t even that many, Mongu. Only about 18 million, if I’m not mistaken.

Considering there are only what, 30 million Australians, that is a very high achievement by VB.
What sort of annual passenger figures did Ansett have, does anyone know? Presumably more as they flew 747s and 767s and VB is a 737-only airline.
