Okay guys back and recovered from my week in New York.
Left Edin last Wed on BMi A320 to Heathrow. Typical flight nothing exiting happening. Left and arrived ontime. Flight out to new York was VS001 747-400 GVWOW Cosmic Girl. This is one of Virgins latest 744. The interior look so clean and fresh. The female cabin attendents were the best I have seen yet on a aircraft. Good looking and young. No 60 year olds here.:D The aircraft entertainment system was the best I have come across so far on any airline I have flown. You had a choice of about 20 up todate movies to watch when you wanted. Useual radio stations and games. But the best thing was the CD juke box. Listening to complete current CDs. The flight itself was pretty uneventful apart from the last 15 minutes into New York were we were landing in a severe thunder storm. Bit hairy watching it out the window.
Return flight back was on VS002 747-400 G-VFAB Lady Penelope. This was obviously an older 744 as the state of the inside was quite dated looking but clean. Again female attendents did not dissapoint.:D. The entertainment system was of the older type were you again got the choice of movies but had to watch them at certain times and no CD Juke box. This was quite a turbulant flight through out. We were holding over London for about an hour on our arrival due to very thick fog. Apart from the Cpt tell us we were landing the first you could see anything out of the window was as we touched down.
Meals on both flights were very British Bangers & Mash etc and well yummy. Useual free drinks & icecream through out the flights. Good job I took my daughters as it gave me an excuse for asking for more goodies for myself 😀
Again a A320 BMi flight back to Edinburgh delayed about an hour and a half due to the fog and very bumpy all the way as the pilot tried to make up time by putting his foot down.
So there you go thats a quick summary of my flights and would recommend Virgin to anyone who wants to fly with them.
