Virtual Cockpit tours: Mosquito, Mustang, Corsair….

Our friends at the EAA have just posted this…Virtual cockpit tours of many of the aircraft in their museum collection.

Many are American pre-war civil types which I’m guessing many of you don’t have time for, but several warbirds are also included.

https://www.eaa.org/en/eaa-museum/cockpit-360-virtual-tour?mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiTURNMk1qWTFORGs0TVRabCIsInQiOiJQOWQ4ZkpKb3VrS3NcLzNJdytpbjBPSFA4emZVaHhvenlvUlRSaFE0RWIzQ092WkdzaXJCdzBhMkhaM3dmNGsyVzEyVUxQbnpSTWFtT1NKbHNHaFlXNzRldGFGOTBkcURyeEdZeFZHZnRCcm9rSWI1bUxRZnFNZ2sxNW5HM3VDWVMifQ%3D%3D

An idea other museums should emulate….especially if they have rare types or a particularly historic example.

Excellent to see these 360* views.
It has been decades since this technology was introduced (mid 1990’s), why it take so long?

First cut at a Stirling virtual cockpit tour… other parts of the aircraft and videos later, plus VR.

Just a trial – quality and content improvements later!

Go full screen for best effect.

Hi

It’s possible to do the same thing with 3D models too, so one day a Stirling cockpit tour will happen!

If you can’t get inside the exhibits then this is the next best thing, I did enjoy my sit in the Spitfire at the RAF museum though!

Cheers
James
