Please put the following dates in your diaries:
Sunday 27th April
Sunday 29th June
Sunday 3rd August
Sunday 21st September
Adult £1.50; Children Free if accompanied
Cockpit visits £2.00 flat rate.*
VRT Members are, of course, free.
Gates open at 10.00 a.m. and last admission is 4.00 p.m.
A number of VRT team members will be around the Vulcan ready and willing to chat to you and answer any questions you may have.
You’ll be able to see the progress of the ‘Return to Power’ program, with various bits of the airframe probably missing during one open day, but back in place the next. I hope it will be worth your while making multiple visits, and obviously we’ll be grateful for the funds.
We hope to have additional attractions at each event, and there will be the VRT sales stalls, and displays etc.
The ‘Aviators’ club near XL426 will be open to all, and offers a wide range of food and drink, plus toilets!
*We run a timed ticketing system for the cockpit visits due to the lack of room up there. During busy periods there could be long waiting times, so it’s advisable to make your way to the girls at the cockpit entrance as soon as you enter the arena to purchase your timed tickets. That way you can take in some of the other attractions until your alloted visit time arrives.
Hopefully there’ll be various movements on the airport too, as you’ll get great views from the Vulcan area.
Please keep an eye on the VRT’s brand new website for updates at http://www.avrovulcan.com

Vulcan Open Days – Update
Thanks Taff. 🙂 Good luck with the old girl.
Also thanks to Vulcan903 and Beastman for the comments regarding the website, glad you like it, we didn’t want to just retread the old one, though it did take longer than we wished.

Visit the Vulcan Days 2008 – Update
Hello Vulcan fans, a small update on the event we are having this Sunday.
The weather is sounding good, I hear of forecasts of 20 degrees C!! Don’t forget the sun tan lotion!
Hopefully weather we be fine and Group Captain Bill Burnett will be down with his Yak 52, to help launch the VRT 2008 Prize Draw, the first prize in this years draw being a flight in Bill’s Yak 52 with Mark Jefferies supplying aero’s if required! Bill has donated this prize to the Trust, Bill is of course a well known Vulcan Pilot and the Trust’s long servicing Head Captain. Don’t miss out on buying tickets!
We will also be running the Rover APU on 426 around mid day and running and cycling Bomb doors and Flying controls etc.
Plus you get to meet all of us, how can you refuse!? 😉 🙂
