As I found on Automotive forums I use , & it seems to be the same misunderstanding here.
If you wish to sent a Visitor Message —-dont forget to click on to the recipients name to gain access to their message box.
If you post a message In your own box , the chances of the recipient getting it are remote , unless they go into your Contac info/Visitor/Friends box for any reason.

If someone needs to, moderators can also delete visitors’ messages. And yes, it is soft delete.

Pagen
if you log in and then click your own name at the top right this will give you your profile page. Visitor messages should be the first tab on the top left of the panel.
It should be there. If not you may have deleted it already.

How do you access visitor messages after the initial reading of it?
I want to reply to one left for me but can’t find it!

Vm’s good for non private , informal chat, can be anybody , but usually with people you have befriended via the ” Make Friends feature”
I have checked your VM box & info —& you seem to have deleted it !! so you will be unable to use this feature unlesss yo go to User CP & get it enabled!!

Is it possible for the recipient to delete a visitor message??
By: Dr Strangelove - 12th July 2011 at 18:44
no only but also, do bear in mind that there is a big difference between a visitor message & a private message, many a time we see a message that should be of a private nature left open to view by all in someones visitors messages 😀
