Same engines. Different cowlings (reduction of the front opening, smoother housing for the oil coolers, etc.). It’s what’s left of the Transair modification that was done to several Daks post-war to improve on aerodynamics, the original mod also included full main wheel doors, which were later removed on this particular aircraft.
Ah, thanks.

Strange cowlings on the Dc-3. Different engines?

Good morning!
I just learnt that the FIAT G.59 belong to Jerry Yagen, has been at Meier Motors in Germany for some time and now is apparently in Milan because of an Italian Group working on converting it to G.55 Centauro configuration.
See also here (German language): http://www.meiermotors.com/de/aircraft/fiat-g55–g59-centauro-.html
Kind regards,
Thomas

Looks from the prop and the radiator that the D9 has a Rotax 912 in it, just an educated Guess:D

Clear as………..looks like a marriage between a Turbi and a Jodel! đ

Newforest ! :diablo: The answer to both of your questions is ‘I don’t know’ …. most people on the trip seemed to have reasonable questions !! and the little yellow thing ? well I rather think it looks too neat for a Turbi ….. but what do I know as I never read placards ??
A better view for you ….
