Hello,
a new Spanish carrier called “Volotea Airlines” received their first Boeing 717-200. This means that there will be a second 717-operator in Europa after Blue1 😉
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!

Even before first flight Volotea Airlines announced 53 destinations that they want to serve. Five Boeing 717s are confirmed but a much higher number of aircraft would be needed to fly the planned network. Three bases are known: Venice (Italy), Nantes (France) and Ibiza (Spain).

Ahh 🙂 That could be the reason that Volotea´s first operating-base won´t be in Spain but in Venice/Italy! :diablo:;)
Hopefully Volotea will be able to find their way to success with their 125-seat Boeing 717s.:p
Bye!

I was referring to the customers, the largest number of unemployed are not the ideal market for a start up to be looking for new passengers! 🙂

I don´t think that 😉 Maybe some ex-employees of Spanair and Quantum Air will be hired – they have experience with the Boeing 717 😉

Good news for Spain with the highest unemployment in Europe? 😉

The second and third Boeing 717 are being prepared for Volotea Airlines! Both aircraft will receive the livery of Volotea in Florida/USA. Now we can count at least three Boeing 717s in connection with Volotea Airlines who aims to start ops at the beginning of April 2012!
Bye!
