I’m looking for information regarding the MoD request (tender) for a new crash tender (CrT) for use by around eight Volunteer Gliding Squadrons across the UK? I understand that the MoD have issued a tender for a new vehicle to replace the current 90 Litre fire-fighting package currently being towed behind a Land Rover Defender 90.
The problem with the MoD tender process is that it costs hundreds of pounds just to secure copies of the official documents. Then again this is just rumour. Perhaps the MoD are happy with the current situation?
Any information would be appreciated. Also, who within the MoD/RAF/ACO is responsible for RFFS provision at VGS sites?
Best Wishes
