Malc (of WF922 fame) has produced a fairly good article about volunteering for work at a museum and the opening steps in refurbishing an outside static display aircraft. This can be read on my Canberra Tribute web site – take the “New” icon and follow the “Reflections” links.
Article is called Reflections on Static Aircraft Restoration and may be of interest to those of you who are thinking of getting your hands dirty this summer (and maybe even those whose hands are already dirty!).
For those who don’t know my web site, click here.
Hope you enjoy it, took us a while to get sorted.

just out of intrest les, there’s a chap with a website on the history of marshall aerospace. they did a lot of work on canberras years ago, and on the inputs page he has a list of all the canberras that visited, and which ones were broken up etc.
there’s also information on quite a few other aircraft types as well.
here’s a link to the canberra info…(hope its useful)
