VP441 – She flies

Message from Texas:

“First flight was today at 9:50 am local time- flew for about twenty minutes with no major problems. Came in, everything looks good- making a few adjustments then planning second flight after lunch today”

Many congratulations from the UK contingent.

Mark 🙂

Who was the pilot for the flight ?
Did he have previous Spitfire time, or did he just have other tail dragger experience ?

Absolutely brilliant:D

PS. What is the aircraft in the background of the photo showing the civil reg. on the tail. Is it a modified Yak?
