A Christmas special event is planned for 5 December 2009.
This will be a special-priced ticket-only event, and will include a buffet. Details will be released when available.

The four events of 2008 were a great success – especially the visit of Bruce Dickinson – and we expect the future ones to continue this trend.
Admission to each event is free for VRT Members, with a suggested donation of £4.00 for non-members.

Start time is 12.00, with the entertainment beginning at 1.00pm.

The Events take place at Hawkwell Village Hall, Main Road, Hockley, Essex, SS5 4EH

The VRT’s sales stand will be in attendance selling a multitude of merchandise. Teas, coffees and light refreshments are available all afternoon, as is a licensed bar. These events are very friendly and sociable events, as well as being informative and entertaining.

Guest Speaker for April VRT Enthusiast Event

We are delighted to welcome back Wg Cdr Peter West MBE who visited us last year. Peter was a Vulcan Air Electronics Officer and since he last visited us he was star of a BBC Radio 4 programme on the Nuclear Deterrent. On 25th April he will be telling us about his days on 27 Sqn Vulcans during the 1970s. At that time 27 Sqn were performing MRR (Maritime Radar Reconnaissance), ‘Tapestry’ and ‘Aroma’ operations. Peter is an old friend of the VRT and a wonderful raconteur and we are thrilled that he is able to come back to Southend.
