B1 and B2 manuals are on sale on Ebay at the moment as I said. I’ve bought CD’s from the company before and they’re pretty reliable. Only snag is that the CD is protected so you can’t save the stuff to computer but you can print-off pages if you so desire.

NEAM have only the second part of the airframe manual… and that’s well over 1000 pages….

They are available on e-bay, BUT to be fair, I’ve not seen the airframe manuals on there, just the pilots notes.

TVOC will have them on CD most likely. I know they let us copy the Vol 3.

How about this as a basis for whatever size Vulcan you eventually build, and its based on the windtunnel drawings.

Ive seen made models of this and it is realistic.

As the link states they used to make a kit of the model many years ago. I have a review of it somewhere if you want a copy.

Not a lot of paperwork came out with the Vulcan disposals in 82/83. 🙁

Also I think that you might find that several of the ‘static Vulcans’ have seen their manuals migrate to Leicestershire! 😀

Au contraire TwinOtter – most of the Vulcan documentation has been around for years and years. That’s why I used the most useful drawings in my books!

Nashio, Airframe manuals for both the Vulcan B1 and B2 are currenty available on CD on Ebay for a few quid if that’s any help.

Hope you post-up some pictures of the build in progress – that would be interesting to see.

I have the B.2 conversion course manual which briefly covers some airframe topics, you can borrow that if you really get stuck.

You might need to be more specific about what you require, going by what I have the airframe manual would be huge.
I suspect somebody like LindysLad would be a good contact.

I’ll have a dig through my files to see what I’ve got but I suspect that I only have the Vulcan Aircrew Manual now. But if I find anything useful I’ll let you know:)

Tim McLelland’s superb book ‘Avro Vulcan-A complete history’ (Crecy Publishing 2007 ISBN 978 0 85979 127 4′ has the ‘Aircrew Manual’ as an appendix. Have you seen that-lots of airframe detail.
Tim has done 3 other books on the Vulcan I believe!
He contributes to the PPRune historic forum- his next books on the Lightning.
