Vulcan at Duxford's Sunday Display

Does anyone on this forum know if there are any negotiations for the Vulcan to display at Duxford this coming Weekend Please ?

It would be a travesty to not see her one last time

Thanks everyone, I had planned the Mirimar trip over a year ago before the Team announced 2015 was going to be the end, to date we have managed to see the Vulcan at Old Warden 5th July Fairford sat & sun Eastbourne and Clacton. Sunday 20th IWM Duxford flypast with the red Arrows would have just been the best salute you could do to british Aviation and the RAF
Just had a lovely reply from the Vulcan to the Sky team they too are sad they did request a flypast but no invite from IWM.

Well, that put my suggestion in its place, didn’t it? Have a great time, and good luck getting to see the Tin Triangle one last time.

Pretty certain it’s final display is at Old Warden first weekend in October – I’d have thought that was relatively convenient for Peterborough?

Adrian

It is Adrian unfortunately on that weekend I will be over in the USA at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar watching AV8B’s of the USMC at the Mirimar Air show !

Travesty or not the IWM is unlikely to have considered booking it because by no stretch of the imagination does it fit with the theme of the show. But remain to be suprised!!……

Why would they, with the show already having sold out on both days?
