‘Falklands’ Most Daring Raid’ is on More4 at 17.55 tonight, it’s a repeat about the ‘Black Buck one’ Vulcan raid on against the runway at Port Stanley Airport.

Ace.
Excellent documentary. Great that the dear old Vulcan went-out on a high note….! 🙂
Hard to believe it’s been so long. Let’s hope that sense has prevailed and that sufficient gear is now kept available locally to defend the islands….

Nope missed it. Overweight celebs diving into water was quite entertaining 😀

If only you had gone with the thread title:D
Surely when you turned over and it wasn’t on at 17.55 you would have checked for when it was on, and seen that it would be on later?
Anyhow, I dare say it will be on again.

I missed it as the time shown in the thread (17.55) differs to that in the title (19.55).

Maybe time for XH558 to come out of retirement and stretch her legs then, seeing as the Argies are kicking up a stink. Reckon we could do it wth 19 VC10 s this time, lol.:diablo:

Good programme I thought, there was some good archive footage in there and the first time I’ve seen the air to air of the Vulcan refuelling practice sorties.
Fantastic mission from a real ‘can do’ era of the RAF.

Don’t forget the interviews in Aviation Heritage Lincolnshire’s video clip ”Reflections on Operation Black Buck”
