Vulcan Cockpit Clock

Does any one know what clock(s) were used in a Vulcan and where ?

The Knirim book shows the flight deck of XH558 in 1993 – with no clock visible on any panel. Other googled images dont show any clocks.

Was it a std RAF Mk3 or Mk 5 or was it something different?

Flighglobal have this shot – but the item marked as a clock does not look like a clock – the numbers are wrong..

Thanks for your assistance.

On a more general note, where are the clocks positioned generally on British post-war combat aircraft?
I see references to use of them but have never seen them fitted in the panel itself.

Well this one is to come out of a customers Microlight that was built by an RAF servicmen.

The current owner wants it removed as it is of no use to him and needs the panel space. He said it is not working but I have it sat here quieltly ticking away. It knowing how to get it to work that was his problem I think.

The Hands and 0 on the 10 in the small dial are a bit tatty with brown staining but its working all fine. The case could do with a good clean and a repaint. Both knobs are with it and both knobs work.

Mark – there have been at least 7 sold on ebay from a single seller over the last 6 months – from a variety of aircraft – Jet Porvosts, Strikemasters etc.

But all are not working. The one I got is U/S – I have tried to get spares – but the pallet is unique! The mainspring is also slipping so needs to be reattached. So only useful as spares.

Interested to hear about any clock that you have available.
