The display on Sunday is scheduled for landing at approx 13.00hrs. Does anyone know if she is departing on Sunday or Monday back to Bruntingthorpe and if so at what time?

I believe the early landing of the reds was due to a bird strike, but don’t quote me on that, it’s just the rumour around Farnborough.
Tom.
I read they had a bird strike a week or two ago ? if its true of wednesday thats quite unfortunate.

I think you will find that XM607 is never going to move from its current location, and they put the Vulcan in static opposite the other Cold War veteran the B-52.
VX927 was that you flying over Branston after leaving Waddington last night?

re
I thought it was such a missed chsnce not parking the 2 Vulcans together at Waddington, or not even having a Vulcan in the big a/c park.

I was there on Wedneasday and I think a chance was missed with the Reds and the Vulcan in the sky together. The 2 Vulcan slots was take off and then display slot. The reds just did a run and break, although there was a delay due to an air ambelance having to pass through Farnborough airspace. One of the Reds also landed early so they might have had an problem.

Hi Phill
Yes it did seem like a missed opportunity with the reds + Vulcan.
I didnt really think anything of the single red hawk landing before the rest as I would have presumed it to be “Red10” , that doesnt appear to be the case this time though as the resulting formation seemed odd .

Well I can confirm it’s more than a rumour – watched some of the display from the office window.
