Hi everyone,
I am seeking any photo’s of a particular Avro Vulcan, which was destroyed on 7th October 1964 at Coningsby. This is for a modelling project, and I hope to be able to model her as she was at the time of her demise, if possible.
My reason for wanting to model this particular Vulcan? Easy, it was the very same day as I was born. Unfortunately, all the crew lost their lives, so it would be my little tribute to the unfortunate crew.
The only information I have at present is from the following web site and an issue of Flypast (everyones favourite magazine surely?) for August 2002.
http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=111797&perpage=15&pagenumber=13
The Flypast issue has a colour side profile of just the tail, showing the airframe in overall white with the 9SQN Bat badge on the fin. Is this correct?
If anyone can provide any further information (preferably photo’s) then I would be very grateful.
Many thanks in advance,
Steve

Thanks
Thanks Papa-Lima, I found that photo but didn’t realise XM601 was on it – I should look properly!!
Now I have no excuse not to build the model – It will just have to be after Iv’ve finished some of my many half-completed ones.
Thanks again,
Steve
