Last year i was fortunate to be at Beachy Head when the Vulcan displayed. This has gone down in my top 5 of most memorable aircraft displays since i started attending shows at Weston Park in the 1970’s. Anyway I’ve looked on Eastbourne’s web site to see if there would be a repeat performance this year and unfortunately there currently is not.
Looking at the web site further i noticed the contact page so i filled in my details and asked what was the chance of getting 558 back and did not really expect a response. To my surprise i received two emails back within 12 hours of me sending my question which i applaud. Basically the response stated that until 558 was confirmed as a flyer this year they would not be looking but if she did fly and the budget or a sponsor could be found they would look again, so not a no and not a yes.
If you want to see 558 at Beachy Head this year i think that anyone who wants to should email Eastbourne and express their positive opinion, go on you know you want to.

It might be better to send money to the Vulcan Boys, get the Vulcan ready THEN email Eastbourne don’t you think ?
