Vulcan XH558 (and Chinook) Elvington, 10 Sept '11

We were lucky to be given a full practice display by XH558 on her way to Leuchars on Saturday. We’d been forewarned to expect her at lunchtime, so some of the Victor and Nimrod teams were ready and waiting on the Victor for her. She appeared on cue, sneaking in from behind the weeds

We were also buzzed by Chinooks all day. This was one of the more distant, higher flying ones…!

Around 2 558 came back to say goodbye

Can’t grumble! Hope we get to see this sight again next year.
